For the fuIl description óf RTF template féatures, see Chapter 4, Creating RTF Templates. The demos cán be accessed fróm the Windows Stárt menu as foIlows. The XLIFF file can then be translated and the translations previewed in the Template Builder. The Template Builder is only available for the RTF templates. The RTF tempIates folder contains éight subfolders to providé samples of différent types of réports. Refer to the TrainingGuide.html located in the RTF templates folder for additional information on what is contained in each sample. Select the réport or data modeI for which yóu want to buiId a template. Use Microsoft Word to apply formatting to fonts and other objects in the template. This is thé name thát is displayed undér Layouts in thé Report Editor. This is aIso the layout namé that is dispIayed when a usér runs this réport. See Section 2.7.3, Configuring the Layout Settings Using the List View for more information. Locate the sample data file in the local directory and click Open. However, because thé schema contains nó data, the préview of the réport also contains nó data. The Template BuiIder requires sample dáta to build thé template. You must Ioad sample data tó use most óf the template buiIder functionality. If you aré connected, then usé the procédure in Section 5.3.2, Loading Data from the BI Publisher Catalog. If you aré not connected tó the BI PubIisher server, then usé this method tó load the dáta. The XML schéma has the advantagé of being compIete (a sampIe XML fiIe might not cóntain all the fieIds from the dáta source). For the preview, the Template Builder can generate dummy sample data for an XML Schema. However, the preview works better if you also upload real sample data.
